Instructions

  • Lay your baby on his or her back (on the floor or on your lap), and let them grasp a block that you hold.
  • Move the block around gently, describing the motions in a sing-song voice, "up, down, in out."
  • Your child will respond well to a high-pitched voice, and will begin to associate the word with the motion as you play variations on this game over the next several months.
