Halloween is one of my favorite holidays of the year. And being a mom gives me an excuse to have fun with costumes and dress up all over again! So yesterday, I announced on Twitter that I am planning on being a sorceress for Halloween. So the cat is out of the bag. It was actually an impulse buy. I had to have it, although I had planned on being a pirate wench. So I have my costume down, I’m not totally sure if Greg will dress up, so we are now focusing on Jayden’s costume.
For Jayden’s first Halloween, he was a Jack-o-lantern. We actually had this costume stashed away a year or two before he was even conceived. Hey, it was cute and on super sale! I knew it would eventually come in handy .
For Jayden’s second Halloween, he was Batman. It was sort of a last minute decision. I had wanted him to be a vampire, but I would have had to order the costume which was a tad overpriced factoring in shipping. We gave him a choice between Batman and Superman, and Batman is what he chose.
For Jayden’s third Halloween, he was a vampire (and I was a crayon )! I lucked up and purchased this costume on super clearance after his second Halloween. He’ll be wearing this to a few activities we have planned this year until this year’s costume arrives.
This brings me to our three choices for this year; two pirates and a football supa-star! Pirates are Jayden’s new thing. He loves singing “Yo ho, yo ho, pi-rates, pi-rates”, so I chose two pirate costumes for him. Greg, on the other hand, would like for him to be a football player since I’ve chosen the last three costumes. Well, we shall see how this pans out .
Pirate #1 – Love the locs on the headpiece.
Pirate #2 – Love the luster of this costume.
Chicago Bears Player – “Real life” and less cutesy. Not your typical kids costume choice.
What do you think Jayden will end up being for Halloween? What are your children dressing up as?
